Koalas sleep up to 22 to hours a day. When awake, the mother koala carries the joey on her back until it grows enough to be weaned, feed on leaves, and hold onto trees. It give birth once every 1-2 years. Females reach sexual maturity at 2-3 years, males at 3-4 years.
